Lazy Gecko 500 Parking Lot Race 2017

We put together a parking lot race with a local location partner of ours. We used 5 gallon buckets with lids as partial barriers as well as natural parking lot curbs and island. With a few cones lined in and caution tape, it made for a pretty distinguishable course. We tried hard to insure no turns could lead to spin outs into oncoming traffic, and overall had a pretty safe and clean race. The water buckets even after being hit did not leak.
Our track took just under 18seconds for the best drivers to finish from rolling starts.
With some PC speakers, a USB mic and snacks on hand, all and all it was a good weekend. Next year we might do it a bit earlier, as it gets really cold at those super speeds!
The track looked roughly like this. Karts and racers (More pictures can be found here)
