Hey All,

The last weekend in June this year there is talk of setting up a non official Power Wheels Race at the Kokomo Maker Faire.
I have a cart, co-workers are building one, and I'm working on trying to get a third one together.

Important info:
June 28-30
Kokomo Indiana (~3.5-4.5 hrs from Detroit)
Stay at Casa de Rick (I got space for tents plus 4 rooms in the house)

The big thing I need to know is how many carts and racers can we get there?

I should be good to bring Raphael that weekend.

Small Update:

There's talk of having the course be the "Racing" Central.
When we aren't racing they're looking to have a belt sander race and probably some RC car racing as well on or near the course.

The committee also was looking to have a Power-wheels activity every 90 minutes or so. We could brain dump ideas here.

So far I'm thinking:
- Enduro at some point
- Qual races
- Relay Race

We could always come up with something day of as well.
Thoughts?

Racing every 90 is probably possible, but for my current packs, charge time will factor in a bit. There has been discussion that endurance races aren't big crowd pleasers, so more sprints might be the ticket. I believe I can up my karts to at least 2 by the end of June.

I have gotten pretty good at "show boating" in Raphael, so I might be able to do a few minutes of some two wheels, and spinouts.

The gecko race, relay race went real well, and we did one in Cali that seemed to go well too.

Drag races might be a thing, although might just not be that interesting.
Depending on track, single timed reverse races could be amusing.

Will there be any speaker systems for doing announcing MC type stuff?
